BHARATIYA VIDYA BHAVAN, MUMBAI

Founded by Kulapati Dr. K. M. Munshi, on 7th November 1938, with the blessings and support of Mahatma Gandhi, BharathiyaVidyaBhavan has grown from its humble beginnings to a comprehensive, global, intellectual, cultural and educational body of excellence.

During the seventy seven years of its existence, BharatiyaVidyaBhavanhas came to be recognized as a symbol of India’s glorious past and as a nationally recognized institution with an international outlook, touching all facets of life and invariably enriching them all.

BharatiyaVidyaBhavan, Kochi Kendra

 Started in 1970 at Ernakulam, BharatiyaVidyaBhavan, Kochi Kendra has grown as one of the largest Kendras   among  the  entire Bhavan’s family. The Kochi Kendra is now the premier meeting place for various cultural, educational and social activities of Bhavan’s and also of numerous social and cultural organizations of the city.

At present the following units are functioning under this Kendra:

  • Bhavan’s Balamandir - Six branches in and around Kochi
  • Bhavan’sVidyaMandir, Elamakkara
  • Bhavan’sVidyaMandir, Girinagar
  • Bhavan’sVidyaMandir, Eroor
  • Bhavan’sAdarshaVidyalaya, Kakkanad
  • Bhavan’sVarunaVidyalaya,  Thrikakkara
  • Bhavan’sMunshiVidyashram, Thiruvamkulam
  • Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor
  • Bhavan’s Royal Institute of Management , Thiruvamkulam
  • Bhavan’s  College of Arts & Commerce, Kakkanad
  • Bhavan’s Nursery Teachers’ Training College
  • Bhavan’s MahilaVibhag, a service organization
