Summit of Future

On January 31, 2025, a delegation of students and faculty members from the BA English Department of Bhavan's College of Arts and Commerce (BCAC) attended the prestigious 'Summit of Future', organized by Jain University at Kinfra Park Convention Centre. The summit featured an enlightening session on the Future Green Summit, which focused on sustainable development and environmental stewardship. The students were inspired by the insightful talks delivered by esteemed keynote speakers, including Dr. Shanavas P, State Programme Officer of Kerala State Kudumbasree Mission; Daya Bai, Indian Social Activist; and Baby John, President of The Pineapple Growers' Association, Kerala.

Following the session, the students had the opportunity to visit the Festival Village at the Jain University Campus, where they explored innovative exhibits, such as Roboverse, an interactive robotics exhibition, and Biennale, a showcase of artistic and cultural expressions. The Summit of Future provided a unique platform for BCAC students to engage with thought leaders, explore innovative solutions, and develop a deeper understanding of sustainable development. This enriching experience will undoubtedly inspire and empower them to become responsible global citizens.

Bhavan's College of Arts and Commerce was an apt institute for a person like me who was literally uprooted from abroad and who preferred to be in a calm peaceful environment. My teachers and the fellow students became my family away from home, and moulded me, to be even stronger, to adjust to the new environment and education system. I'm really thankful to the teachers, who were friendly as well as inspiring who encouraged and criticized us at each stage of our growth. I'm really greatful to have teachers who were literally, a light of positivity and left an indelible mark on us by teaching us to challenge each challenge that we encounter, not letting us to give up. The library was a place that I frequented, for peace and calmness...to find solace in the treasure of books that served as an encouragement for reading more. I truly had a good start with Bhavan's College of Arts & Commerce, my dear Alma Mater that is now, a part of my persona.
